• Facebook might setup a base in Ireland

Facebook who Microsoft paid a large sum of money for a 1.6% stake last October, is considering setting up the European base in Ireland.

Facebook seems to be the most popular social networking website in the UK and it become more popular than MySpace in the US.

Microsoft didn’t purchase Facebook, they paid $240m for a 1.6% stake in it.

Not for now and is not clear if Facebook will simply locate computer infrastructure here in Ireland or establish a European headquarters.
