* CAPTCHA – will be added to the next update (already done but not finished)
* characteres counter – there is an option to add javascript to the end of the field (e.g. onfocus, etc) which can call a JS function
* email – that’s done already in my sample as for DB has to be done manually by the user as there is no way to know the DB name, table name and fields….

ANyway, once againg thanks for the good points.

* a security check to make sure that the submission URL is from the same domain
* CAPTCHA support
* field length limiting
* text box effects (character counter for limited forums / textarea resize to always have a blank line)

I have 24mb with them unlimited and not contended like eircom madness for the past 2 years and it is rock solid. They offer 24mb for 24 euro if you are VAT registered.

Any time you call Eircom Business support, after going through all the steps, you get put on-hold and a nice voice telling you to check the support on-line.
The Question: How can I do this if I don’t have Broadband?

Anyway, I decided to contact them using the online form (while the internet is on) and sent the following email:

I am entirely sick of Eircom broadband.
I am supposed to run a business here and having too many internet issues (for the last 2 weeks) stopes me from doing so.

Every day after 4:00 PM the broadband goes down and it takes ages before I could re-connect. This issue lasts up to 7:00 and even 9:00 PM.
I called the support (business) and I was told that there are too many connections at the same time to the server, the reason I keep loosing the internet, but let me tell you, that answer its not acceptable.

Last week I called again and despite the fact that I told the customer service there is nothing wrong with my wires here, an Eircom maintenance guy knocked into my door few days later – which after explaining what the story was, I send, he said that he will escalate the issue future, but never heard from anyone since.
My broadband is fine all day until 4 PM in the afternoon when everything starts.

Even while typing this email, I had to restart the router 3 times to make sure is going somewhere.

Will one of you guys get this sorted out for me because I will be escalating this issue with the ACCOUNTS as I am not in the humour of paying a bill for something that I am not getting.

After typing all that and clicked the submit button, I get the following page saying:

The RPC server is unavailable.

Are they for real?

So i again stripped it to the bare necessities but it’s still not working.

You are trying to set this up on a sub-domain, so would you not be better just check on a new page in the main domain folder until you get it working?

Have a look at the example available and just because you don’t need certain Javascript code, it doesn’t mean the other code doesn’t need it either.
Those are functions and they could be called from inside the other ones so leave it as it is until working then clean up what you thing you don’t need.

Talking about persistence, every day in the last week at exactly 09:10 – 09:15am I get a call from Eircom, trying to sell me a better package then the existing one I have, but I already said no to it, so why the repeat calls?

I do answer them as is doesn’t come on Private number, but no anymore as I remember it now.

The other benefit I have is that very few people have my direct dial and most of my calls come screened through the receptionist
