Have been an Eircom business customer for over 5 years now and I have to say I have never had many issues.
But recently – the past few months my connection keeps dropping.
Some-days I have to restart the router at least 20 times before I get a stable connection.

Being fed-up with the issue, despite the fact that the “BUSINESS” customer support sucks, I decided to call and find out what the problem is.

The answer I got and I quote:

“There are too many connections at one time and the server crashes = CRAPS-OUT (my words)“

I start laughing and replied that the answer that I was given it’s not good enough.

As I am writing this, and it’s not lie, I am after re-starting the router 3 times already and it’s Sunday - How many business customer are on-line at this time?

I called again on Friday and I was told that someone will be calling me back to help me with my problem, but as expected I haven’t received any calls yet.
Maybe the support team for the “Business” customers are on holiday – a long one….

Few months ago Eircom was blaming my router, so they send me another one which didn’t solve the problem.
After calling back they said that a new router will be on the way to me again, so I refused it because it’s not the bloody router – what the hack is wrong with you people?

I do network setup for a living. I should know when the router is at fault, don’t you think?

This issue, used to happen few times every week and the funny part was, that always started after 4:00 PM and lasted till abut 6:00PM, but lately it happens all day long.
Even at 7:30AM.

At this stage I am thinking of changing my broadband supplier, despite the fact that I will have to do a lot of permission work due to the static IP address I have, but I need to take the bull by the horns and hope for the best.

Any recommendation people?
